The translator very often truncates files that it tries to write to
zero bytes, but tells the nfs clients that the file still exists.
This is Bad(tm).
Also, it very, very, very often (these days, generally after I've been
logged in about 5 minutes) stops answering requests, leaving lots of
processes in disk wait. The nfs-client machine then has to be
rebooted. This is also Bad(tm).
