Hi
I can't cd to the site /afs/cmf.nrl.navy.mil
because the IP address changeover at CMF was not detected
by our site (and /usr/vice/etc/CellServDB was not adjusted).
the present /usr/vice/etc/CellServDB contains:
>cmf.nrl.navy.mil #Naval Research Lab
134.207.7.4 #cmsun.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
134.207.7.68 #picard.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
134.207.7.69 #riker.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
whereas it should be
>cmf.nrl.navy.mil #Naval Research Lab
134.207.10.4 #cmsun.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
134.207.10.68 #picard.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
134.207.10.69 #riker.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
An explanatory note from a CMF guy is attached below.
Could you please adjust /usr/vice/etc/CellServDB .
Thanks.
Boris Pevzner

re: cd'ing to cmf
look in the /usr/vice/etc/CellServDB on the machine
you are on and look for the entries for cmf
it should say this:
>cmf.nrl.navy.mil #Naval Research Lab
134.207.10.4 #cmsun.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
134.207.10.68 #picard.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
134.207.10.69 #riker.cmf.nrl.navy.mil
if it doesn't work most likely the 10's in the
IP addresses are listed as 7's - we recently
switched our servers over to a diffent subnet
so the 7 --> 10
transarc seems to be advertising the change but no one
seems to be listening to it so you may want
to prod someone there (at MIT i mean)
