I'm looking into your Tecdemo bug report. One very common source of color
problems is using too many colors at once on the screen. The first thing
to try is to exit from any other color applications running on your machine.
Then try tecdemo again; that may solve the problem. If not, it might be
that you are using too many color customizations, like in your root window.
Try to turn off all your color customizations or colored root image, log off
and log back in, then try it again.
Please let me know if you have already found a solution, or if any of the
things above works. If not, we'll have to look further.
