"blanche" allows me to add bogus list members which can't be deleted

Yesterday, one of the *.answers moderators accidentally did "blanche
faq-maintainers -file
/afs/sipb/project/periodic-postings/news.answers/faq-maintainers",
rather than running the script which strips out comments and full
names from the addresses in that file before feeding it to blanche.
As a result, a bunch of bogus entries were added to the
faq-maintainers list. After realizing the error, the moderator ran
/afs/sipb/project/periodic-postings/news.answers/update-lists, which
does the correct stripping, but it failed to restore the list to its
correct status. The following errors were output by blanche:

Note that all of the problematic strings have apostrophes in them.
I attempted to remove these strings with moira and then with mrtest,
including trying various forms of quoting in mrtest, and I was unable
to remove them. It appears that they simply cannot be removed without
issuing SQL commands on the Moira database.
This is, needless, to say, a Bad Thing.
