Hello,
I'm sorry that you had trouble using FrameMaker because of the locker
configuration. Unfortunately, I do not believe that there is anything I
can do to prevent the sequence of steps you took from breaking; the
"bin" directory is part of the FrameMaker release as distributed. The
binaries contained in this directory are the ones shipped with
FrameMaker and are not usable on Athena without setting up the user
environment first, something which we do in the respective
machine-specific binary directories.
In other words, putting /mit/frame/bin in your command search path
before /mit/frame/decmipsbin (for example) is the wrong thing to do, as
you won't find the MIT startup scripts with the correct environment
setup when you type any of the Frame commands. If you "attach" the
locker where you meant to "add" it, simply type the add command next.
Attach by itself will not change your command search path, so add will
do the right thing.
