I was able to duplicate the problem you reported with AutoCAD on the
RS/6000, but only when using the twm window manager, not with mwm. Do
you use twm? If that is the case, there is nothing I can do about the
problem, as AutoDesk explicitly states that it only supports the Motif
window manager (mwm). I also suspect that it is indeed an AutoCAD
problem and not a twm problem.
If you always want to have a larger graphics window on the RS/6000, you
can add these line to the file .Xresources in your home directory:
AutoCAD-Graph.geometry: 900x700+196+164
replacing the "900x700" with the size you want to use (900=width,
700=height). This resource will only affect the AutoCAD graphics window
on the IBM workstation; it will not change anything on either the Sun or
DECstation platform.
If you have any questions about Xresources, you'll find the OLC
consultants in 11-115 very helpful. They can also be reach via the olc
