What's wrong:
When I logged in today, the xlogin window came back up WHILE my
init was putting up my Xterms. (Since twm was running, I could raise
and lower the window.) I started up my mail reader, and just as it was
popping up my mail reader window, the rest of the screen went black.
I noticed that the cursor fonts for the mail reader were incorrect, and
then the whole screen went white.
I had been logged out.
THIS time when the Xlogin window came up, I was able to log in
normally without incident.
