MacLayers is in the modem locker. When running the unix end on
Solaris, you can't ever exit a window.

I was looking around the MacLayers UNIX source last night trying to
figure out why windows won't go away under Solaris. The code didn't
look particularly pleasant to me. I don't know what a lot of it is
doing, but I think the problem could be in DoWait() in layers.c if
you're interested in looking into the problem, that might be a good
place to start.
