Hello,
You recently sent in this bug report on Xess:

Unfortunately, it appears that this is a "feature" of the application as
it is currently available and we are unable to fix this for everyone.
You can, however, set up your own account to work around this feature by
using the program xmodmap to remap the keypad Enter key. (In other
words, you can make the keypad Enter act like the Return key for all
applications; you can't change it just for Xess.)
To remap the Enter key, create a file in your home directory called .map
and put this line into the file:
keysym KP_Enter = Return
If you then run the program
athena% xmodmap ~/.map
you will find the the Enter acts just like a Return.
You can also put the xmodmap command in your ~/.startup.X file to
automatically run every time you log in.
If you have further questions about xmodmap, you can ask them of the OLC
consultants by using the olc software, calling x3-4435, or stopping by
11-115.
