What were you trying to do?
manually update to 7.6P
What's wrong:
Among other theings the track run by the update did the
following:
Updating file /./.rvdinfo ( mod-time=750082652)
from file /srvd/./.rvdinfo ( mod-time=750708108)
[...]
Updating file /etc/mail/sendmail.cf ( mod-time=743387866)
from file /srvd/etc/mail/sendmail.cf ( mod-time=743395978)
What should have happened:
Given that I have NEWMAILCF=false in rc.conf that file
shouldn't have been copied, and having a .rvdinfo on the local disk is
amusing, but wrong.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I believe applying the following context diff to
/srvd/usr/athena/lib/slists/sys_rvd will solve the problem. It is
possible that you may deem it appropriate not to prevent the rc files
from being copied. I'm not sufficiently familiar with their purpose
to know whether they should be updated by track or not. (My hunch is
"not" which is why I included them in the patch.
