1. What is the output of "xhost", by itself?
2. Does the UNIX domain socket for X exist?\
What does "ls -l /tmp/.X11-unix" return?
3. Is this a Model 220 or a Model 320 RISC/6000 system?
I suspect the problem may be that the local UNIX-domain socket disappeared.
I have been able to succesfully use xhost on grayscale RISC/6000
systems; X does not require that the ports be registered in
/etc/services, and it is not in /etc/services on either the grayscale or
the color RISC/6000s.
