xmh compose windows - "insert file" function

It seems that once you have typed a <return> key in the "insert file" window,
the compose window gets stuck and prints "Error: not a directory" every time
you try to get a file. Opening a new compose window on a different draft file
cures it, but every time I tried to go back to the original draft message, the
"insert file" function was broken again in the same way. However, starting
a new xmh cures everything.
