Hi,
The problms you were experencing on the RS6000 model 220 were caused
by 2 bugs. First the console had problems dealing with signals and would
then kill it self. This led as yandros noted that the Xserver reset it self.
Now at this time the second bug came into play. The font path on the
220's is screwed up. So the server was looking at 100dpi fonts hence
everything looked larger. This is fixed in 7.6H which is comming to a
cluster near you early next week.
