System name: lees13
Type and version:	KN02ca 7.6F (1 update(s) to same version)
Display type: PMAG-DV

What were you trying to do?
Read a .mat file produced by an older version of Matlab (actual version
   number unknown).

What's wrong:
Matlab 4 reports that it can't read the file, even though it appears
the data is correctly loaded. Matlab 3.5 loads the data without
complaining. If I then save the data to a new file using Matlab 3.5, the
resulting .mat file is readable by Matlab 4 with no error messages.

What should have happened:
Matlab 4 should be able to safely read older .mat files since I have many
that contain data that I don't want to lose. However, it would seem that
as soon as 3.5 disappears I may not be able to read this data. Is this
   a known problem?
