You recently reported a bug where blanche reported:
blanche: Ingres system error occurred while deleting member bedunkel from mtg-members
This is a known problem that has been around for some time. It only
happens when something else has locked much of the database, such as
the nightly updates. Since you reported this bug at 2am, I assume
that this was the case at that time. You are correct that the error
message is not very good. However, it would take a major re-write of
the system to be able to generate a better message, so it is not likely
to be fixed in the near future.
If you run into this problem again, just wait five minutes and try again,
and everything will likely work.
