We have noticed that Sun Solaris GCC and NFS do not get along.
Isolating the fault, reporting it to Sun, and getting it fixed
have been low priorities for us at IS because we don't use NFS all that
much.
For the time being, the work-around is to copy the source files to local
disk and compile them there.
It is not a good solution, but it is the only one we have to offer at this time.
