Until we fix it, have them try running
/afs/athena/system/vax_bsd43/srvd.74/usr/athena/bin/dvi2ps. I expect
that will work. I tried the current version on a file, saw the font
substitution problems, then that old version, and it worked fine.

It's not the case. The 600dpi font work was backed out of release 7.6.
Or at least, it was supposed to have been. It looks as though in the
zillion details I missed backing out the dvi2ps, which is the problem
users are seeing.
