RS6000 crashing on login

Hi. I think there might be a bug in the new RS6000's (as in bld.16).
When I login with a Mail Check login, after giving my email status,
someting comes up in the console window, then immediately the system
crashes and resets back to the "Welcom to Athena" screen.
Have you seen this before?
