I tried to do a tape dump of beacon. It seemed to work. I attempted
to do a tar tvf to verify the dump. It failed repeatedly on a file in
Bill's local homedir. I mv'd that file into
/afs/sipb/user/jweiss/wesommer to see if another dump would succeed.
Once again it worked until the verification at which point the dd
started spinning when it reached /site/quotas. Repeat. Try another
tape same failure mode (spinning). The Tapes are in marthag's
drawrer. The 1st one labeled is on top the second one not labeled is
on the bottom. Do what you want I give up. Oh did I mention that
while I was trying to read the tapes on at least 3 different occasions
hodge panic'd usually with "sz_save_rqsns: valid set"
