Hi -
I'm blaming this on twm because it doesn't happen under mwm (it also
happens under vtwm.gamma in windowmanagers, btw):
I noticed that if I moved the mouse pointer (and the focus) into a
window that wanted to use a private colormap, twm would tend to not
realize when it should switch back to the default colormap. For
example, when I ran xli -private, it used the new colormap until I
quit xli (regardless of where I moved the mouse). The same thing
happened when I ran xv v3 and started up the "visual schnauzer". When
I ran xv -owncmap (version 2.21 or 3), it would usually switch back
correctly when the mouse pointer left the xv "root" window, but
sometimes not.
Perhaps not a major bug, but what the hey :-) Also, I'm not totally
sure this only happens with the new setup, though I *think* I've
used xv v3 on the rs6000/320 without problems.
Thanks,
Rich
