NOTE that this bug has occurred on Suns, as well. Also note that auditorium
is using a different monitor than the normal Maxines...
What were you trying to do?
run a program or display a file that often contains text in boldface
(using the vt100 code ESC [ 5 m to activate and ESC [ m to deactivate.)
What's wrong:
Often, when viewing the file in an xterm, the first column does NOT
appear in boldface. This behavior seems to be sporadic.
What should have happened:
Viewing the file in emacs shows that the characters should, indeed,
be bold.
