Hi! I can't get my Meta key to work in tcsh 6 on the RS6000.
in my .tcshrc I have the command "bind emacs", so that if I press
the Esc key followed by 'b' the cursor jumps back a word. If I press
C-[ b, it does the same thing. But if I press Alt-b (i.e. M-b)
a b gets typed onto the screen.
If I run an emacs window, the Alt key works just fine.
As per wchuang's suggestion, I did an "emacs -nw" in the xterm window.
The Alt key didn't seem to do anything (i.e. Alt-b just typed out the
letter 'b').
Hope this is correctible (or am I probably doing something wrong? my
.tcshrc should be readable in the usual /afs/athena/user/j/w/jwlin homedir)
Thanks!
