Xterminal problems

For the record:
I've run mkserv xterm on my DS3100 (godzilla) for the loaner NCD Xterminal in
my office. I've experienced the following problems:
-The Xterminal is unable to attach any homedir.
-If I am logged into both godzilla and xterm, and then I logout
of xterm, I am logged out of both machines.
-When godzilla is running xdm, xterm will bring up the login
screen at random times. The login screen usually does not
appear, however.
-Sometimes xdm will bomb and create the login screen on godzilla.
All my other xterms are killed.
