What were you trying to do?
Look up something in the online phone book at the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem. A nonstandard font is needed.
What's wrong:
xset fp default
xset fp+ /afs/athena/activity/other/Israel/lib/X11/fonts/bdf/
xset fp rehash
xterm -geometry 105x71+0+0 -fn heb6x13 -e /usr/ucb/rlogin \
www.huji.ac.il -l www &
xterm -geometry 105x71+0+0 -fn heb6x13 -e /usr/ucb/rlogin \
www.huji.ac.il -l www &
(X server dumps core.)
What should have happened:
The X server should not have dumped core. It appears to dump
core reliably whenever a second xterm is started with -fn designating
a BDF font, although I obviously didn't try every possibility.
Multiple xterms seem to work fine if the xset fp+ instead uses a
directory where the heb6x13.bdf file was compiled to PCF with dxfc.
