xfig crashed 2 RTs in building 16

I logged onto m16-034-16, started xfig, and clicked the title to lower
the xfig window (I use twm). The screen went absolutely black. I couldn't
figure out what was going on, so I rebooted the machine and logged onto
m16-034-17. I started xfig, tried to raise a different window, and this
time the screen had a couple of misplaced bars - i.e. bars of screen
space which should have been somewhere else. The cursor was gone, I
couldn't do anything, so I rebooted that machine too and came here
(m4-035). xfig is running fine on this RS6000.
Both times the RTs hung, I think the LED code was 10...
