What were you trying to do?
Use scrolling areas in a tty application in an xterm.
What's wrong:
/etc/termcap's xterm entry is missing the 'cs' capability on
(I believe) all Athena platforms. Using vt102 as my terminal
type works fine, but this is highly inconvenient.
What should have happened:
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
The xterm termcap entry which ships with the recent versions
of X is reportedly complete.
