If you have a core dump along with a copy of your dvi file along with a
list of environment variables you have set, it would be useful in
determining what is going on. (Also - if you type which xdvi and verify
it is the one in /usr/athena/bin).
Another thought - I assume you are not changing the dvi file while xdvi
is running - right?
