What were you trying to do?
Cut and paste, both in an Xterm and in an Xsaber.
What's wrong:
I've found two bugs in the RS/6K X-server:
1) Pasting into the Xterm caused the following behavior: The
data would actually be pasted into the document or program that was
taking stdin, however *not* all the data would be displayed. So, for
example, I could have one xterm full of text, and in the other xterm
I could "cat > /tmp/foo"... If I paste into the second xterm, not
all the data shows up, but if I then ^D out, and more /tmp/foo, all the
data it there.
2) I was running an xsaber from podge, a DECstation. When I
tried to cut-and-paste from the xsaber window into itself, it would
consistently cause the X-server to crash!
What should have happened:
The data should have been displayed and the X-server should
not have crashed, as the case may be.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
probe was here, and we tested the backing-store (by turning it
off), but it had no effect.
