What were you trying to do?
Run xess or xess2.0 out of the xess locker
What's wrong:
(After add'ing xess)
Nothing at all seemed to happen when I typed xess. No window
appeared, no errors.
When I typed xess2.0 I got the "Starting Xess version 2.0" message,
then nothing happened.
For both xess and xess2.0 ps ux showed something like this:
belville 21574 0.5 5.4 2492 1020 p1 D 0:01 /mit/xess/.decmipsbin/xess20
belville 21573 0.0 0.8 364 136 p1 I 0:00 csh -f /mit/xess/decmipsbin/x
but then those processes disappeared and xess never started.
What should have happened:
xess should have started.
