You probably typed "crat" and then hit backspace or delete and then
typed the rest of your username.
Sometimes, the terminal settings are not right before you are logged
in, so backspaces and deletes don't show up properly, even though the
character really is deleted.
Therefore, even though "cratyxmp" is what was showing on the screen,
"crayxmp" is what the login program saw.
