What were you trying to do?
Use the help files on athena. I am logged on from my office on dialup.
What's wrong:
Twice I have accessed the help files, read through them, and quit to go
back to Athena. I return to the athena% to read my mail, but I get no
screen response from my keyboard. I know the commands are being entered
because I get the proper response (files rmm'd or shown), but nothing
shows on the screen from my typing. The only way I've been able to
correct this is to logout and start again.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
The only other relevant thing I might have done was use an improper
command for accessing the help files. Rather than type "help" and
wade through menu after menu, I typed "help" followed by the topic I was
looking for. This got me into the help files, but once I started to
read it would quit and return to the athena%. Did I use a command
improperly?
