   jrv jesse[] owl died
   cfox     jesse[]       Right, it's clearly something in the input;
you Karl and
jlwfnord all had your owls die at once.
cfox jesse[] are you configured to keep core dumps?
jrv jesse[] new host. hang on a sec. was it kcr's long
hostname?
jrv jesse[] no. no cores here :/
   cfox jesse[] Yeah, it was.
cfox jesse[] Well, he wasn't very clear about owl actually
crashing,
but I presumed that from his later zephyr.
cfox jesse[] (oh, are you asking whether his hostname
crashes it? that
                          would be sad...)
jrv jesse[] iirc, that was the previous speculation
   cfox jesse[] hunh.
cfox jesse[] well, that should be easy to fix... yeah, he
sent "death
                          to owl!"
cfox jesse[] and then Jim complained
eichin jesse[] I thought it was known to be a long hostname
crash, but
                          noone had actually debugged it.
eichin jesse[] (nor has anyone filed a debian bug against it,
but filing
something in the ktools bugzilla is presumably
more
                          useful)
-> eichin jesse[] (and if there is a fix I'd build new debs, but
can't
otherwise be bothered, I only ever run it on
st...)
