incorrect error when sending to class without subscribers

I noticed that the new owl-beta (2.0.9) now puts an admin message when
the recipient isn't subscribing to personals.
When sending to a class without subscribers, I got the error message:
"Could not send message to ZEPH0.2: not logged in or subscribing to messages."
instead. I am using a custom format, but this also happens when using
the one-line format.
