Security Advisory.
Advisory: [JOLT2] Remote Denial of Service against Be/OS.
Release Date: Jun 1, 2000.
Status: No fix yet.
Vulnerable version: Be/OS Personal 5.0 build feb 212000 4:43:00.
Shoutz: AUX (aghi, obiwan ksyms) and awgn(antifork).
Description:
If someone run jolt2 against a Be/OS 5.0 will lead the system to
be slowly like the win family in a few minutes, I've used the original
code to test it. Try run jolt2 against the system and open one terminal or
two and you'll get the system very slow. I tried leave the attack running
for 15 minutes and get the Be/OS totally locked needing a reset.
