I met with John Kramer and Tim Blackburn today from PSB. They're
going to the following tweaks, and then get back to us "as soon as
humanly possible":
- Put a d7d7d7 (gray) box behind the text of the icons, to maintain
readability in case of panel background color changes.
- Extend the blue background behind the mail icon to avoid
anti-aliasing problems in case of panel background changes.
- Adjust the Emacs and Prompt icons so they have the same frame.
- Adjust all the icons so that in each, the rectangular graphic takes
up the same amount of vertical space.
- Adjust the text as needed to fit tastefully within the gray boxes
in case of panel background color changes.
- Redo the Menu icon in the same style, to make it look as clear as
the others.
In order to make the addition of transparency easier, (the Netscape
icon is the only one that needs it), I've said that I'll do that in
Gimp, to avoid possible problems in the transmission/conversion from
their system to ours.
