With regard to our discussion Wednesday about the panel and the console:
I'm currently running the panel with twm, and the console is actually
being fairly quiet. I get informational messages (which need to be
nuked) on focus changes, and one real error from when it couldn't find
some pixmaps it needed.
(Nautilus, on the other hand, leaves a trail of wreckage whereever it goes.)
