I was trying to come up with a short name for the work we're doing
of establishing basic commands, look and feel.

Then cooking up a theme that consumes fewer colors is DEFINITELY appropriate.

With regards to the rest of your point, go ahead and do it as the
discussion has evolved:
	move window by dragging the edge, like MacOS does.
	WM menu that is a context menu
	Kill Window being a decoration on the window.
	Kill Window AWAY from other stuff.
and then do usability testing and measure how people handle the tasks.
