I'll be there on Tuesday as well.

One test we could do at some point later on would be to just have
somebody go through the available themes and pick which one(s) they
like the best.  If the winner is not the one we have now, we could
adopt that as the new sawfish default, but change the functionality to
match the AUI standard (i.e., no windowshading, close button on the
left away from maximize and minimize).

Personally, I like the splash of color MicroGUI has over
brushed-metal, but don't like the button icons.  I also find
brushed-metal's titlebar text to be more readable.

I don't think themes are particularly dangerous... they will make your
desktop look different that the pictures in the documentation, but
the only other problem I can think of would be a bump in the learning
curve trying to figure out how to use the new theme.  It's not like
anyone will not be able to log out or start new apps just because they
changed their theme.
