The Publishing Services Bureau is currently working on the following
items for us, according to Debby:

-- icons for Gnome terminal and logout
 -- splashscreen and background image
-- color palette for your reference
 -- Kerberos dog

(The last is for Peter Litwack.)

They proposed the following schedule:

August 22: begin designing icons, including Kerberos dog, if necessary
September 7: presentation to representatives from Team Athena
September 15: delivery of final icons
September 18: begin design of splashscreen and background image, if
  not already begun
October 2: presentation to representatives from Team Athena
October 13: delivery of final graphics, including color palette

Sept. 7 was today; we should probably set up a meeting with them as
soon as possible in order to keep things moving.

They do want us to have at most one or two people who have final say
on which graphics we end up going with. I think we'd want no more
than four or five people to actually meet with PSB when they do their
presentations.

I think I'll just ask for people to self-identify their level of
involvement; hopefully everyone will be OK with the list of nominees,
and if not, we can talk about that later. So, by Monday at the
latest, please e-mail me if you want to:

 1. Have the final say
 2. Be in a meeting but delegate the final say to others
 3. See the graphics before they are approved, but give feedback to
people who fit 1 or 2.

Thanks,

Beland
