Some applications don't like Sawfish

So it turns out that at least ArcView and Cerius2, which run only on
SGIs, fail under Sawfish but work under 4Dwm, the default SGI wem (if
you don't set skip_sgi like me).

After insubstantial testing, I was unable to find any problems with
Autocad (either version). Rumors have it that Photoshop 3 (which only
runs on Suns) also may not be entirely happy under some non-mwm window
managers.

As usual, it's unclear whether these problem represent bugs in
Sawfish, or the applications themselves.

It would be useful to check to see if these are, in fact tickling bugs
in Sawfish. If we find this is so, and try to fix the bugs, we will
need people who normally use these programs to use them under Sawfish
for a while.

Even if we are able to fix these problems, this highlights the need
(in the transition period) to be able to switch back and forth between
the old Athena login without breaking things terribly on either side.

Exhausting the well of Third Party Clue,

Beland
