We do not want AUI to suck on non-truecolor hardware. It does not
need to look great. In this particular instance, all of the colormap
cell shortages have been traced to good, honest bugs. The PSB people
have hopefully been told that they can use as many colors as they want,
and they will be forced down to 8-bit programatically when necessary.
