A couple of facts (I am about to go to sleep and don't want to form
opinions, but there were some factual errors).

Doing a better (or even different) console in the Beta release is
impossible. The console is started before the user's dotfiles come
into play. Changing console is just as hard as changing xlogin.

Beland (since you have taken Printing on) don't underestimate the pain
that is available here. Putting it as a Beta target is quite likely
unrealistic. You might consider 0.5 instead.

While it might be nice to have a 0.5 target, I had planned to roll
these into the Beta as they became functional. In fact, some of the
things that you have as Beta targets (gzephyr, Printing) are also
things that I think make more sense to roll into the Beta as they
stabilize, rather than trying to get everything together and have a
release. People should tell me if this is not sensible.
