One plea about doing things like this.
Please don't change the default default by changing code or
something. In other words, make the default the same as usual, and if
you think Athena users will have a different preference, then give
them an initial dotfile that sets it differently.
Which is to say, please make the gnome dotfiles work the same on
Athena as they do everywhere else, so people can use them in multiple
places.
