It's also sort of a matter of opinion whether this is a bug in tcsh or
in emacs. Arguably, emacs is not behaving as a proper text editor by
default, and tcsh behaves correctly when fed proper text input. I don't
know if you'll get that argument from the tcsh maintainers or not, if
they even read their mail.
