Yes, per http://debathena.mit.edu/install installing
debathena-workstation would make your computer behave as if it were a
cluster machine in most respects; you'll log in with kerberos and use
AFS for your home directory, etc.
However, if you already have an account on your computer called
"albertyfwu" then you will be logging in using that local account instead=
