Ah, if the upgrade failed, there may be a chance to recover. You should take a look at /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debathena.list and see if the "deb" and "deb-src" lines are commented out. If they are, un-comment them, run apt-get update, and you may be able to re-install a metapackage like debathena-standard.

However, it's more than likely that your system is in some sort of corrupt state, because commenting out the apt repository wouldn't suddenly make AFS stop working or "renew" non-functional. In that case, it may be difficult or impossible to recover.

Which should still have debathena working right? I feel like the attempted upgrade may have changed some files, or pointers and have caused problems. But I am not really sure how to fix that or if that is the problem that debathena is seeing and thus not working.

With the latest release of the Ubuntu upgrade, I tried to upgrade but it failed (I'm not sure why) but after that I was no longer to access things like my AFS locker using the renew function. I tried to re-install debathena to see if it would work but it says that the machine does not seem to be running a supported release. How could I best fix this?
