#286: some equivalent of console in this brave new world-------------------------+--------------------------------------------------

* milestone: The Distant Future => Fall 2011
Comment:
console is unbroken and now supports either passing fds or filenames
(read: named pipes) if "-n" or "--names" is passed.
We should work on the session integration and finally kill off
00debathena-tcsh-sucks.
It has been noted that Gtk apps like to spew on stderr and this can easily
confuse users, especially if the errors are in ZOMG RED.
