I've done part (b) above, so that debathena-cluster-software and
debathena-workstation happily coexist on etch.  I've also done (c) on
two of the three Debathena office heads at SIPB, running etch and hardy.

A colleague whom I asked to install 'debathena-cluster-software'
nearly installed 'debathena-cluster' instead, which would have been
quite different.  This seems like another reason to do (a), renaming
it to 'debathena-extra-software' or somesuch, if we're going to keep
it congenial for non-cluster machines.
