acroread exists in Medibuntu: http://www.medibuntu.org/
I'm not sure if there are any legal issues involved here, and I'm not sure
what its relationship to Ubuntu is.
The description of the package does note:
This package is in Medibuntu because Ubuntu no longer provides it as it
is not freely redistribuable.
