You may find 40GB to be insufficient for running all the chroots that we
run and doing several builds in parallel (as one can do with our makefile
to bring a new distribution online).

It's worth noting that running apt repositories off of web.mit.edu causes
problems like unusally long (I seem to recall sometimes infinitely long
...) delays when doing apt-get update; before using debathena.mit.edu we
were using stuff.mit.edu for this reason.
